Merrimack Field Hockey are NE10 champions

On Sunday November 18th 2018 the No.5 ranked and Second seeded Merrimack College Field Hockey team defeated the No. 10 ranked Saint Anslem Hawks in the NE10 championship game. The Warriors (18-3) defeated the Hawks (15-6) 2-1 when Mary McNeil scored the game winning goal with basically no time left on the clock.
Senior Mary McNeil was named the NE10 Championship MVP as well as joining fellow senior Delaney Yule on the all-tournament squad. Junior goaltender Katharina Ohmen made 4 saves, three of which came in the second half of the game. Ohmen also landed a spot on the NE10 all-tournament team.

Looking ahead: The Warriors will now await their seeding in the Division 11 NCAA Championship. Merrimack was ranked second in the East Region in the final NCAA DII regional poll, which was released last Wednesday. Six programs advanced to the NCAA Tournament, which will be unveiled Today at 3 p.m on the NCAA Selection Show
